What type of birds would you like to see in your garden this year?

I would love to add Cedar Waxwings to the list of feathered friends that have visited my Certified Backyard Wildlife Habitat
I would love to see Cardinals at my feeders.
I just moved from Michigan to Tennessee. I’m still learning what kind of birds are here. But I would to see more of the song birds, for I can listing to them while I’m cleaning.
I would love Cardinals, Humming Birds, any kind I will enjoy!
I would love to feed cardinals! I had a nest hatch a couple babies right outside my bedroom window! It was wonderful watching the momma and daddy birds take care of the little ones!
I too would like to see Cardinals, beautiful birds. However we don’t get those in Western Washington…so i’d like to see some goldfinches!
I would love to see cedar waxwings, bluebirds and hummingbirds and any others that stop by.
I love to all kinds of birds, but especially bluebirds, cardinals, and goldfinches.
Would love to have Cedar Waxwings visit my yard!
I watch hummingbirds and finchs at my backyard feeders.
The hummingbirds are now gone for the winter.
I’m still feeding finchs and all the others that are still here during all the snow; including the squirrel.
I could sure use a new feeder as the squirrel has ruined a few.
I’m always on the lookout for the Cardinals!
I would love to see Bluebirds and Cardinals at my feeders. I have Chickadees, finches and grosbeaks at my feeder all year round.
This beautiful feeder would be an excellent addition to the flower garden we watch while drinking our morning coffee.
I love cardinals,grosbeaks and woodpeckers.
Oh, yes, and finches of all kinds!
I would love to have some wonderful little hummers. I have planted to attract them and I put out feeders yearly but just don’t have any luck
Do you buy your nectar or do you make your own?
I make my nectar. It is very easy 1 part sugar to 4 parts water. Heat in pot until sugar is dissolved. Let cool and use!
I usually use a 2-cup measuring cup and put about 3/4 to 1 cup of sugar then fill the rest of the way with hot tap water, microwave for about 2 minutes then put in the refrigerator to cool. I almost never use red food coloring. I use blue, green, mix up the colors. I have hummingbirds around all the time. I think as long as there is red on the feeder, the nectar doesn’t have to be. You can even leave it clear if you like.
Bluebirds, bluebirds
I’d love to see more bluebirds and orioles. I have one here and there and it’s a special day when they show themselves!
I would love to see an indigo bunting
Having lived in Connecticut all my life, I’ve loved seeing the cardinal, especially against a new snowfall. Since moving to Florida about a year and a half ago, I still get a kick out of them. They’re just smaller here, but I still love seeing them, especially in pairs. Love hearing that distinct call for the first time each season too!
I would like to see more of the zebra finch this year.
Congratulations Sharon Southerly winner of the Heavy Duty 1 qt Thistle Feeder! As a thank you for everyone who participated you can get 15% off all our bird feeders and seed this weekend with the code hungrybird. Have a wonderful weekend!
I would like to see more Cedar Waxwings & Tufted Titmice
Having issues with my feeders birds won’t eat out of them I think it’s the seed it’s been around awhile. could this be the problem?
Seeds can spoil and lose nutrients over time. If the seed has been around more than a year and stored in an airtight container or has been exposed to warm/hot temperatures you should throw it away and start fresh.
